Den Norske Opera & Ballett, Scene 2, 25. og 26. oktober 2012

Fritt Ord, Oslo, og Freemuse – The World Forum on Music & Censorship, København, vil arrangere den første verdenskonferansen om kunstnerisk ytringsfrihet i Den Norske Opera & Ballett, Scene 2, den 25. og 26. oktober 2012. Kunstnere fra alle genrer: musikk, litteratur, film, performance, teater, maleri, fotografi, vil opptre, undersøke og diskutere hvor, hvordan og i hvilken grad det legges begrensninger på den kunstneriske ytringsfrihet – for ikke å glemme eksempler på kunstens potensiale til å utfordre etablerte sannheter og rammebetingelser.

Mange kunstnere fordømmes, forfølges, sensureres eller utdefineres. Under «ALL THAT IS BANNED IS DESIRED – World Conference on Artistic Freedom of Expression» vil vi rette oppmerksomheten mot angrep på den kunstneriske ytringsfriheten i ikke-demokratiske eller religiøst dominerte samfunn så vel som i demokratiske og mer sekulære land. Kunstnere fra hele verden vil dele sine erfaringer og diskutere ulike former for sensur med kuratorer, akademikere, kulturprodusenter og journalister.
