Reporters without borders (RSF) and its partners, the Norwegian Press Association and the Fritt Ord Foundation, are pleased to invite you for the unveiling of the RSF 2018 Press Freedom Index.

– Hver dag blir over 3 milliarder bilder lastet opp på sosiale medier, også fra konflikter og katastrofer. Men i en tid med fake news, propaganda, manipulering og kunstig intelligens blir spørsmålet ofte hva kan vi stole på? sa Harald Henden da han mottok Fritt Ords Pris.

Svaret hans er at vi må stole på den enkelte fotograf. Styreleder Grete Brochmann presiserte det samme og kalte krigs- og dokumentarfotografiet en viktig del av ytringsfrihetens infrastruktur.
